WHAT WE DO
Industry knowledge - Personal commitment
Depending on the partnership model, we offer different structures for our renewable energy projects under development. Normally, we work in a co-development structure, or our partners’ step-in after a project is fully licensed. The future project owner decides to which extent Ibernordic should lead the structuring, construction and lifetime asset management of the project.

Structuring, Financing and Power Purchase Agreements
The successful construction of a renewable energy project requires detailed planning, since today’s renewable energy projects are very complex and associated with substantial investments.
In the last phase of the project development is essential to structure and optimize the construction, financing and power sale related to the renewable energy project.
Renewable energy projects are funded by a number of financing structures including balance sheet finance, ownership flip, back-leveraged structure and traditional project finance.
The basic premise of project finance of renewable energy project is that lenders loan money for the construction and operation of a project solely based on the specific project’s risks and future cash flows. As such, project finance is a method of financing in which the lenders to a project have either no recourse or only limited recourse to the parent company that develops or “sponsors” the project.
The equity Investors’ willingness to commit capital to a renewable energy project is driven by the perceived risk/return profile of investments, combined with risk mitigation.
We have substantial experience with structuring project finance of renewable energy projects, and we focus on ensuring from the early project development, that our projects comply with the requirements of international bank and financing institutions.
A power purchase agreement (“PPA”) is a contract between a seller of electricity and a buyer of electricity. These contracts are usually long-term, and deal specifically with the sale and purchase of renewable energy.
PPAs can facilitate your business achieve its sustainability targets, fix long-term pricing for power helping to manage the risk of volatile power markets and generate savings across your energy costs.
We have substantial experience with structuring of corporate PPAs, and can offer different structures to our partners.
